North Bay Discloses RNIP Immigration Stream

Another RNIP stream got disclosed by North Bay, Ontario on October 21.

This takes North Bay to the eleventh position in the list of Canadian communities to unveil these program criteria. There are twelve competing communities in this pilot.

Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan is the only community that has failed to launch its program.

There are more than 50,000 residents in North Bay. It is at a three-hour driving distance north of Toronto.

The economy of North Bay is diversified including mining, strong health, and tourism sectors.

It is one of the prime locations for several post-secondary academic institutions. This makes education a crucial element of North Bay.

The RNIP is a brand-new initiative of IRCC to partner with various communities and attracts suitable immigrants. The locations of these communities are outside the primary population centers of Canada.

There are certain requirements that are applicable to all communities and their immigrants.

Candidates have to fulfill certain eligibility criteria:

  • A minimum of one year of work experience in the preceding three years, excluding some foreign students and graduates.
  • Minimum levels of French and English.
  • Minimum of a high school diploma.
  • Financial ability to self-support and their immediate family members.
  • Either a permanent or a full-time job offer in the participating community.

It is important for the job offer to either be at the same skill level, a level above or a level below the NOC matching with the work experience of the candidate.

How can a person receive a community suggestion from North Bay that will entitle him to apply for Canadian permanent residence?
