    There are four streams under the Yukon Nominee Program (YNP):

YUKON EXPRESS ENTRY (YEE)

Allows you to apply for Canadian Permanent Residence. For employers in Yukon who are not able to find skilled workers in Canada. Employers may now fill job openings with (sponsor/issue job letter to) foreign skilled workers who are chosen from the Express Entry Pool.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICANTS:

  • You must intend to permanently live and work in Yukon
  • Have sufficient funds to support yourself and any family members.
  • Have a full-time permanent job offer from an employer in Yukon.
  • Meet the requirements of the immigration program

SKILLED WORKERS

Under this, foreign skilled workers can be sponsored by local employers for Canadian Permanent Residence.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICANTS:

  • Have at least one year of paid work experience in the occupation of interest
  • Have at least a high-school diploma
  • If in Canada, you must have a valid work permit at the time of application

CRITICAL IMPACT WORKERS

For foreign workers who have an experience in a semi-skilled or unskilled occupation that is in high demand. Applicants must have a job offer issued by a Yukon employer.

BUSINESS NOMINEES

For individuals who wish to start a new business or partner with an existing business. Individuals must have proven business experience and be willing to make significant investments in their business.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICANTS:

  • Meet the language requirements.
  • Have a minimum net worth of CAD $500,000.
  • Prove that you have legally claimed your net worth. Your net worth will be verified by a Yukon accounting firm.
  • You must intend to permanently live and run your business in Yukon.
  • You must have at least three years of business management experience and at least five years of relevant experience related to the business you have proposed.
